What to Do If Route Marked My Package as Delivered But I Didn’t Receive ItUpdated 3 months ago
Sometimes carriers mark packages as delivered early, or they leave them in unexpected places. Here's what to do before jumping into a claim with Route:
Step 1: Do a Quick Check
Look around your delivery area: Check your front door, back door, mailbox, porch, garage, or side gate.
Ask around: Neighbors, roommates, building managers, or doormen might have accepted your package on your behalf.
Review your shipping address: Make sure the address on your confirmation email is correct.
Step 2: Wait 2 Business Days
Sometimes carriers scan packages early, and they show up within a day or two after being marked as delivered. This is common with USPS and DHL. We recommend waiting at least 48 hours before filing a claim.
Step 3: Still No Package? File Your Route Claim
If the package hasn’t shown up after 2 business days, and you purchased Route Protection at checkout, you can file a claim for a stolen package directly here:

Be sure to select “Marked as Delivered, but not received” as the reason and include as much detail as possible.
Reminder:
You must file your claim within 5–15 days from the delivery date.
Route may ask for additional info or require a police report for high-value claims.
